Got tax questions? Get answers at your IRS office on Saturday

Posted by Thomas Taylor in Finance News

Nearly 100 IRS offices will be open to help taxpayers this Saturday, March 26th. You can find participating locations at IRS.gov.

Designed so that working folks can get their tax questions answered on their day off, offices will be open from 9 to 2. IRS staff will be available to help with tax return preparation, account questions and any other tax issues. The IRS says they fixed over 95 percent of the problems that over 35,000 taxpayers had at least year’s open houses.

Some locations will also offer free seminars on new tax laws. And community organizations like Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) partner with the IRS and offer assistance as well; call 800-906-9887 for partner sites in your area.
